This page reports my voluntary ministry activities for the information of those who take a special interest in my work.
Dear Brethren... This report covers the last quarter of 2014.
During October, November, and December, I presented 23 Sunday lessons in Bundaberg. These included 13 sermons, and 10 Bible class studies. The sermons followed the theme "Profound Questions" in October, lessons of encouragement in November, and sermons about Jesus Christ in December.
In the Bible classes we studies the soul (October), lessons about the Psalms and proverbs (November), and in December we began the series "We Beheld His Glory".
In the quarter, I added 10 new lessons to the simplybible.com website. These completed, for the time being, the sermons in the "Profound Questions" series.
Behind the scenes, I "configured the viewport" on each page to further improve the site’s appearance and usability on small mobile phones and tablets. As I said in last report, “More than half the visitors to simplybible.com are now accessing the website on mobile devices such as tablets and phones, rather than on desktop computers. I continue to improve the website's compatibility with such devices.”
The figures for page views over the quarter were pleasing. For October 63,551; for November 92,357; December 57,147 (source Awstats). That's about 2,400 page views per day on average. I wouldn't expect that high figure to be repeated next quarter, but if nothing goes wrong we should expect between 1500 and 2000 pages viewed each day.
Susanne has created two new facebook pages. One is for Bundaberg church: facebook.com/churchofchristbundaberg and the other is: facebook.com/bibleverses.4u in which Susanne presents encouraging Bible verses on original images. Susanne has also begun helping with facebook.com/simplybible which is the facebook page for the simplybible.com website.
Simplybible.com has now been on the internet for twelve years, having first gone online December 2002.
Again may I say how much I appreciate those who keep on helping me in the Lord’s work. “Without you, I could not do it.”
Love and best wishes in Jesus.
