Note —EPHRAIM: The name of a major territory of the northern kingdom of Israel. In some cases “Ephraim” is used as an equivalent to Israel, and stands for all ten mainly northern territories that broke away from Judah and Benjamin. Ephraim and Manasseh were sons of Joseph.
